Ralph Lauren’s famous, charitable Pink Pony is back. This month, the all-American brand debuts its global campaign, “Together in Pink”, in support of the Pink Pony Initiative, the brand’s long-standing commitment to the fight against cancer which includes programs for screening, early diagnosis, treatment, education and patient navigation.

With the aim to raise awareness, the highly emotive campaign intends to create authentic conversation around cancer by showcasing a diverse cast of those whose lives have been affected by the insidious disease. Each cast member is paired with a family member, friend or fellow survivor to share their personal journey through the power of conversation. The campaign features Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and cancer survivor, Sheryl Crow, Emmy Award-winning writer and speaker, Suleika Jaouad and five-time Olympic gold medalist, Nathan Adrian, and cancer fighters Tammy Walker and Mimi Argueta.

The conversation about cancer will be fostered through other mediums, too. Through a unique Podcast program, a series of seven Pink Pony-themed episodes will air throughout the calendar year, while on social media, the campaign will invite Ralph Lauren’s followers to share their own stories and join the community of support using #PinkPony.

For over 30 years, Ralph Lauren has been committed to raising awareness in the fight against cancer, using the Polo Player as a global symbol of this fight. In 1989, after his close friend and Washington Post fashion editor Nina Hyde was diagnosed with breast cancer, Mr. Lauren made a commitment to focus his philanthropic efforts on improving care for this devastating disease by co-founding the Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Throughout the month of October, the façades of Ralph Lauren’s global flagship stores in New York City, Beverly Hills, Chicago, Shanghai, London and Paris stores will be illuminated in pink. Ralph Lauren’s global hospitality portfolio will also celebrate the program with a Pink Pony Signature Cocktail, with a portion of the sales donated to the Pink Pony initiative.
