The modern-day traveller or more specifically the ‘Tod’s Traveller’ is the stylish interpretation of the wandering nomad. Taking to Milan Fashion Week Men’s overnight, Italian leather master Tod’s presented Spring/Summer 2020 at the iconic Villa Necchi Campiglio. Situated amongst lush lawns, a swimming pool and tennis court, the luxury powerhouse unveiled ‘The Ride’.

Driving, movement, exploration and speed provide the cornerstone for the Tod’s brand and following on from its recent collaboration with Qooder, the Tod’s traveller has been realised in the latest collection. Serving the latest innovation in technical style, the line heroes ‘The Ride Jacket’ – a modern reinterpretation of the biker jacket. Created from weightless nylon and leathers; digital-camouflage prints, tailored denim, soft suede materials and finishes boast multipurpose style as it takes on a number of harsh elements.

Accompanying the silhouette, SS/20 also ushers in a range of heritage styles infused with Tod’s Ride attitude. Hand-crafted geometric elements, leather trim and piping meet with light suede and cotton Drill to emobdy the urban dweller. In keeping with the technical luxury weaved throughout the collection, high-performance textile is seen on its windbreakers, leather piping across the Field Jacket as well as the inclusion of considered and versatile leather bags.

Rounding out the forthcoming collection, ‘The Ride’ has welcomed the latest iteration of yachting-inspired shoes. Reimagined into a range of bold sneakers, ‘Tod’s Competition’ shoes combine ergonomic shape, modern colourways and technical fabric. Elsewhere, the Gommino is given a new lease on life with the new T: an iconic archive symbol found throughout the accessories.
