DAY ONE

3:15 PM

Checked in at SIRO One Za’abeel, where fitness and recovery actually mean something. My Lifestyle Concierge met me at the lobby; calm, minimal, efficient, and walked me through the hotel’s Fitness and Recovery Labs. It’s less “wellness escape” and more “precision-engineered performance zone.”

4:30 PM

Dropped my bags in the room (jaw, too). The space is bright, minimal, and effortlessly refined. Exploring a bit, I opened what looked like a mirror door and found a whole setup for stretching and workouts: resistance bands, a wooden pull-up bar, and a giant exercise balls. The bathroom has a tub with a view that made me late to my check-out date. Everything is wired with sleek, intuitive tech, from the curtains to the lighting to the bathroom. Then I went straight to the Recovery Lab for Assisted Stretching by PROVERB, about half an hour of guided mobility work that un-stiffed my desk-chained body.

5:30 PM

After the body, it was time for the face with a Skin Facial Sculpt; a deep, sculpting massage that lifts, drains, and wakes the skin up using antioxidants and enzymes. I accidentally fell asleep halfway through, which should tell you everything about how effective it was.

8:00 PM

After a long bath, I joined an Endurance Spinning class. My first ever. The coach, Kristina, ran it like a drill with charm. The playlist helped. It was all stamina and sweat, but very entertaining and rewarding.

9:00 PM

Dinner in the room. The menu’s built for people who actually care what they’re eating; vegan, low-carb, high-protein, or just “feed me.” I went in the latter camp: a burger, a Greek salad, and an episode (or three) of Sex and the City. The service was sharp; the butler even set the table. Everyone here’s genuinely kind and warm.

DAY TWO

9:00 AM

Breakfast at NETTE by Culinara. Bright, calm, and delicious. I had the truffle egg croissant, which I highly recommend.

11:00 AM

Headed to the gym for a post-breakfast, pre-lunch workout. The place has everything; all TechnoGym equipment, spotless and lined up. Each machine comes with a neatly rolled towel, a small and kind act of foresight. Coaches are always around, offering guidance and assistance when needed. The view alone is enough motivation, floor-to-ceiling windows framing the city in motion. (Bonus points for the Moroccan rap playlist.)

Siro Hotel

12:00 PM

Had a small protein-packed overnight peanut butter and coffee in the Common Grounds.

1:30 PM

Lunch at Aelia, a space with clean design, good light, and better food. The chicken and mashed potatoes were spot on.

4:00 PM

Caught the sunset at the Garden Pool Bar on the fourth floor. Lush greenery, frangipani trees, and a swim-up bar. The menu’s Asian-leaning, light, quick, and built for poolside eating and drinking.

7:30 PM

Dinner at StreetXO was easily a highlight, which doesn’t come as a surprise when learning it’s the brainchild of celebrated four MICHELIN-starred Chef Dabiz Muñoz. It’s loud, neon-lit, a little unhinged in the best way. Red lights, mirrored ceilings, staff in straightjacket-inspired uniforms. It shouldn’t work, but it does. The food is wild, fusion done right, full of heat and theatre. The lava cake at the end sealed the deal.

DAY THREE

8:00 AM

Morning flow yoga in a sunlit studio, followed by a sauna session and cold plunge.

Siro Hotel

9:00 AM

Breakfast again at NETTE (not complaining). Egg and avocado benedict, before reluctantly checking out.

12:00 PM

Goodbye SIRO!
