If there was ever a time to experiment with your wardrobe, it’s now.

Rounding off the year, international fashion search engine, Lyst, released data confirming the most stylish male celebrities of 2019 with the three who earned spots in the 10 ‘Most Powerful Dressers’ category – alongside women such as Meghan Markle and Zendaya – proving just how far men’s fashion is evolving.

At number two on the list, right behind British royalty, was French American actor Timothée Chalamet, who has spent this year attending red carpet event after red carpet event, dressed in hot pink suits and sequins.

But nothing he wore made more of a splash than the avant-garde silver suit by Haider Ackermann, which he debuted at the Venice Film Festival paired with black, heeled boots. Lyst notes that the outfit alone saw an 806% spike in searches.

Behind Chalamet comes the musician of the moment, Harry Styles.

Styles has long been known for his eccentric fashion sense – we’re talking about the man who’s been wearing a pearl necklace for the past few months – but for the 2019 Met Gala he turned things up a notch with a ruffled blouse, heeled boots and a pearl earring, which saw a 28% spike in searches for the product. He also triggered a 78% increase in searches for bright blue suits after he was photographed wearing one in New York City.

Then there’s actor and theatre performer, Billy Porter, who turned up at the Oscars in a custom-made tuxedo gown by Christian Siriano, bolstering searches for the brand by 101% within the space of 24 hours. Of course, he followed this major fashion moment up by dressing as a gilded, winged Egyptian pharaoh for the Met Gala, where he was carried in by six shirtless men. Iconic.
