Bottega Veneta’s Winter 2024 collection, designed by Matthieu Blazy, is a masterful exploration of introspection and resilience, inspired by the barren landscapes surrounding Area 51. Shot in the otherworldly landscapes of Utah and Nevada, this collection channels the mystique of these dry terrains where life, like Bottega Veneta’s iconic craftsmanship, not only survives but thrives.

Alec Soth’s photography places models in scenes that could double as UFO landing sites—towering rocks, endless roads, and resilient vegetation stand as the only witnesses. The earthy colour palette – blacks, olive greens, tans, and browns – could camouflage you right into the desert, with splashes of red as a signal flare for passing spacecraft. Throughout, Bottega Veneta’s signature weaving technique is prominently featured, adding texture and depth to each piece.

The campaign film, directed by Rahim Fortune with a soundscape by Le Motel, feels like a stylish transmission from another planet. Models glide through the desolate landscape, moving with the purpose of explorers searching for something just out of sight – maybe a piece of alien tech, or perhaps the perfect leather coat. This is more than just a collection; it’s a high-end invitation to embrace the unknown, with the assurance of unparalleled luxury.
