Breitling has entered the world of American football in a big way. The Swiss watchmaker has signed a multi-year deal with the NFL, becoming the league’s official timepiece partner and, importantly, the first luxury watch brand to ever take on the role. To kick things off, Breitling is releasing two collections dedicated to all 32 teams: the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 and the Endurance Pro.
The Chronomat GMT is designed with fans who travel in mind. Each version matches a team’s primary colour on the dial, with the secondary colour showing up on the GMT hand, and the team logo engraved on the back. It’s practical too – powered by Breitling’s Caliber 32 with a 42-hour reserve, water resistant to 200 metres, and sized at 40mm, it balances function with a look that works just as well on game day as it does off it.
The Endurance Pro brings out the sportier side of the collaboration. Built in titanium, it’s lightweight but tough, with a black dial, coloured details for every team, and the logo sitting at six o’clock. The watch also carries a pulsometer scale on the bezel, useful for keeping track of your heart rate when the game goes down to the wire. Inside is Breitling’s SuperQuartz™ movement, known for accuracy and durability, paired with a black rubber strap that’s ready for both training and everyday wear.
This partnership isn’t just about the watches on sale. Breitling will be visible across some of the NFL’s biggest events, from Super Bowl LX and NFL Honors to international games in Brazil, Ireland, the UK, Germany, and Spain. The aim is simple: bring the energy of the sport and the precision of Swiss watchmaking together, while giving fans something tangible to show their team pride.
Breitling CEO Georges Kern summed it up by pointing out that football is about more than what happens on the field but rather about the shared moments and traditions that connect people. These new watches are designed with that same idea in mind: objects that hold meaning now and can be passed down later, along with the love for the game.
The collections will be available during the 2025 NFL season at Breitling boutiques, authorised retailers, and online. Fans now have the chance to back their team in a way that lasts long after the final whistle.
