For the first time since her 13-year conservatorship ended in 2021, Britney Spears is sharing the unadulterated account of her life and career in the upcoming highly-anticipated memoir The Woman In Me.

With excerpts of the memoir trickling through to the public ahead of the release, never-before-shared information is coming to light, including the conditions of the pop supernova’s involuntarily conservatorship arrangement, the real reason she shaved her head in the infamous 2007 “meltdown” and allegations of an abortion she underwent while dating Justin Timberlake.

Spears and Timberlake’s three-year relationship from 1999-2002 was the acme of the teen dream, with the young Hollywood alumni meeting as a teenager ‘Mouseketeer’ on the set of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. However, as Spears now reportedly details, there was more to their underneath the layers of patchwork double denim.

“For me, [the pregnancy] wasn’t a tragedy,” claimed Spears. “I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she continued.

“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.” Spears lamented that she was not sure if the abortion was “the right decision”. “If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it,” she wrote. “And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father”.

Timberlake has not addressed Spears’ allegations but with the book’s impending release sure to delve deeper into their relationship, including Timberlake’s claims that Spears was unfaithful to him, the former NSYNC member may be compelled to comment.

As Page Six has reported, Timberlake is allegedly “concerned” about the contents of Spears’ memoir. “He’s very curious what she’ll reveal from their relationship,” a source with intel told the publication before adding: “It’s eating at him.”

Following Spears and Timberlake’s breakup, the musician went on to welcome two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline, with her ex-husband, former backup dancer Kevin Federline. In 2022, Spears announced she had suffered a miscarriage after convincing a “miracle baby” with her now estranged husband, Sam Asghari.

The Woman In Me by Britney Spears will be released worldwide on October 24, with American actress, Michelle Williams, set to narrate the audio version.
