From clothing to interior design, Calvin Klein unveiled its first installation at Design Miami/Basel, interpreted by Chief Creative Officer Raf Simmons, the showcase presents a range of limited edition Cassina Feltri armchairs as well as upholstery curated by Simmons.

Known for its bold and seductive aesthetic, Calvin Klein has used its all-American style combined with the artistic and functional design of Italian designer Gaetano Pesce to create a series of 100 numbered Feltri armchairs. Featuring one-of-a-kind American heirloom quilts that date from the 19th and 20th centuries, the installation encompasses American heritage as well as a “cultural correspondence” with Italian company, Cassina.

Set in a large space, Calvin Klein further expressed the artistic direction through the use of a freestanding barn, populated by a field of the Feltri armchairs. The unique furniture has become an icon of contemporary design as well as technique – the thick wool felt structure specially made through a patented technique.

Chairs numbered 1 – 50 will be available for purchase at the Fair, while 50 – 100 will be made available through Cassina at a later date.
