The theatrical build-up to Marty Supreme was a performance in itself, with Timothée Chalamet seemingly method-acting his way through the press release, embodying the overall ethos and central messaging of the ping-pong-centric film, to DREAM BIG. Rather than traditional press junkets with the same questions, the film’s rollout unfolded through a collection of intentionally crafted cultural moments, including Chalamet’s self-directed Zoom meeting, his appearance in Druski’s recent YouTube video, and his summit off the Las Vegas Sphere, which was turned orange to represent a giant ping-pong ball. While the film is set in the 1950’s, the rollout has been heavily catered towards Gen-Z, both in terms of strategically curated pop culture moments and fashion.

At the epicentre of Marty Supremes’ guerrilla marketing is Timothe Chalamet himself. The Nahmias x ‘Marty Supreme’ jacket was shared by the actor amongst several celebrities, all of them who have become masters in their respective fields. The frenzy to own this jacket, branded with the movie’s name, has made it a moment in pop culture to be remembered. It seems that ownership of this jacket represents more than just a possession one can have for notoriety; ownership is a token of membership into the exclusive club of those who ‘dream big’, and everyone wants access. As the film’s story encouraged audiences to dream big, Timothée was dressing big too. Here is a round-up of some of the most thoughtful and experimental looks we’ve seen throughout the Marty Supreme press tour:

Full Orange Look at the Los Angeles Premiere

The lead actor donned a custom Chrome Hearts all-leather jacket and pants with a dress shirt in the same ‘Marty Supreme’ neon orange, a nod to the iconic orange ping pong balls. Paired with this vibrant look were Chrome Heart x Timberland boots featuring Chrome Heart’s signature overlapping crosses, and a Chrome Heart table tennis paddle-shaped cross-body bag. His fashion-forward girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, wore a matching Chrome Hearts leather dress with complementary jewellery.

Full Orange Look #2 at the New York Premiere

Timothée Chalamet maintained the same bold energy for the New York premiere, where he arrived in a neon orange Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann. The relaxed double-breasted suit jacket was accessorized with a matching neck scarf. While his premiere look for Los Angeles leaned into a sharper and more industrial vibe, his ensemble for New York contrasted and served as a more refined, luxurious look that was reminiscent of an old-money aesthetic.

More-o-chrome

Throughout his worldwide press tour, Chalamet had a developing love affair with monochromatic leather outfits, which is best captured through all-leather Givenchy tracksuits by Sarah Burton. The first of these ensembles was a full black leather pants and jacket, layered over a black Daniel Simmons hoodie and styled with a simple black cap and Nike SFB Field boots in tan.

The second adaptation of this series of work was a bright red ensemble. featuring a bold matching red jacket and pants, with red Givenchy boots from the FW 2026 menswear collection. The third variation was seen at a Marty Supreme viewing in São Paulo, where he confidently wore a golden yellow leather tracksuit, complete with a jacket and Givenchy boots, and all in the same vibrant color of the Brazilian flag. His ongoing creative partnership with Sarah Burton was on full display throughout the film’s roll-out, evident in these looks, which offered a balance of boldness and refinement.

SoHo pop-up

Chalamet embraced the streetstyle aesthetic of New York City during the SoHo pop-up of the Marty Supreme x Nahmias collaboration. He wore the famous Marty Supreme retro sports-style jacket in a soft pink, layered above a darker pink Dior cable-knit sweater. Simple blue denim jeans were punctuated with a pop of color through a pink and silver handwear belt. The star of the show was his pastel multi-coloured Dior by Johnathan Anderson high-top sneakers from the Spring 2026 runway.

Ping-Pong Invitational

For an underground ping-pong tournament which celebrated the film’s release, Chalamet wore a vintage Salomon Gorpcore ski jacket, Chrome Hearts Orange t-shirt, and Maison Margiela Future metallic sneakers. The vintage-style jacket gave the look an athletic appeal, perfect for the unconventional sporting event. The orange tones of the jacket and top echoed his earlier orange looks, reinforcing what has emerged as the defining colour of the rollout (underscored most vividly when the Las Vegas Sphere was illuminated entirely in orange). He accessorised the look with a black belt with the Chrome Hearts signature crosses in blue and orange with a silver hardware buckle.

“4 Raw” Music Video

The Oscar-winning actor tapped into a distinctly British take on streetstyle in his music video for the “4 Raws” remix, an unexpected musical collaboration he did with underground rapper EsDeeKid from Liverpool, ultimately debunking the theories that he’s EsDeeKid himself. In the music video, he dons a snake print  North Face Gore-Tex Mountain Jacket and baggy black pants, paired with MM6 Maison Margiela x Dr. Martens 1460 boots. He also wore the same Chrome Hearts belt he wore at his ping pong event, which was highlighted in the video for several seconds.
