After Virgil Abloh‘s debut LV collection, we now have a closer look at the sneakers that walked the rainbow runway. Taking inspiration from old-school sneaker styles, four designs make up the collection – a basketball shoe, and tennis shoe low-top, a track shoe, and a luxury sneaker.

The first silhouette, the basketball shoe, has been designed in two colour ways – black/grey and blue/white. Reminiscent to the Avia 880 cross between the Nike Air, the hightop features subtle LV branding for a sportier feel.

The next style, the tennis shoe, can be considered the low top version of the basketball shoe, with its design taking cues from the Adidas x Stan Smith shape. Again, available in two different colour ways – black/grey and green/white – features the same subtle branding but is far more wearable for everyday wear.

Taking it back to the ’70s, this throw back model sports exaggerated teeth and classic running suede and mesh upper. Created in a red and blue colour way, it is a bold choice but fails to communicate its expensive price tag.

Lastly, something more traditional for the house of Louis Vuitton, the high fashion counterpart of the sneaker collection comes in suede and leather high-top. With a slightly raised platform sole, utility detail and gold hardware, this is the pair of sneakers expected from the new Creative Director.
