Spring/Summer 2019 is set to heat up following the latest presentation from Coach. Combining Mad Max aesthetics with bohemian romanticism, designer Stuart Vevers looks to reinvent all-American youth, inspired by his recent visit to Santa Fe. Set around a dusty, dinosaur playground, the runway takes on a mysterious and grunge backdrop.
“Assembling and reconstructing the craft and spirit of the American look. A new, new romantic gang; dreamers traversing an unravelling prairie landscape in the wake of their revolution, trailing scavenged and salvaged American heirlooms,” read his show notes.
This season, Coach commissions all-leather looks, juxtaposed with sheer material and bohemian prints, while fringe, patchwork, and fleece details elevate dark layers of leather, denim and suede. For a lighter touch to the heavy tones, Coach includes collaborative Disney pieces and lightweight print button-downs.
Each look is finished off with oversized bags, eyewear and chunky sneakers for a streetwear approach. Check out the men’s looks below.
