Japanese label Mastermind has teamed up with Converse to launch a new limited-edition take on the Jack Purcell model.

Known for the use of raw materials and a punk aesthetic, Mastermind has perfectly reimagined the brand in the framework of the popular converse style. In a standard black and white colour-way, the shoes feature the emblazoned iconic skull and cross-bones on the tongue with the addition of studding on the top eyelets. To further create a raw and un-done style, the brand name has a hand-drawn look on the toe.

So far, the collaboration is to release in Japan on May 19 but it is unsure whether a larger roll-out across the world will take place. Stay tuned.
