Three words come to mind when colour blocking is mentioned: ‘bold’, ‘loud’ and ‘tricky’. What made a brief but impact appearance in 2018, colour blocking is often associated with explosions of bright colour and master clashing, but if Pre-Fall 2019 is anything to go by, we can expect muted hues and softer tones to gain traction.

Teased by the likes of Alexander Wang and more recently, Coach, pink and green tones have had a major comeback and to show us exactly how to wear the trend day-to-day is Edward Zo.

When colour blocking for the first time, we suggest straying away from denim but in the case of soft colours, we approve. Opt for colours in similar pastel tones and experiment with layering. Offset the colours with flashes of black or white and with confidence to match, its an easy way to pull off runway style.
