Milan Fashion Week Men’s has shaped up to be almost legendary and before the event wrapped up for another season, Emporio Armani welcomed a strong sporting presence with some of the worlds top athletes sitting front row with industry A-listers. But like past collections, nothing could distract from the dynamic looks that were showcased on the runway as the Italian fashion house looked to the concrete jungle for inspiration.

Drawing energy from the animal world infused with the hybrid habitat of the urban jungle, Emporio Armani presented refined silhouettes as if to prepare for the ‘Big Freeze’. Narrow-shouldered jackets, coats with strong volume and fluid trousers make up much of the collection that heavily incorporates bold texture complementing colours. To illustrate its perception of the animal world, carding, lasering, screen-printing and other artisanal techniques create the motifs found throughout the clothes and accessories. Think python-effects on trousers and jackets, crocodile scale emblazoned across blouson and feline stripes and zebra patterns on blazers and pullovers.

Additionally, the “fur” coats and wool lining featured in the Fall/Winter 2019 collection are all eco, meaning you can make a statement without harming the environment. Looks are rounded out with technical-inspired shoes, “fur” backpacks, duffle bags and body pieces such as belts, bags and vests.
