The 2019 Met Gala red carpet has come to an end and while the industry’s elite continue the party within the encampment (pun intended) of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, our minds are still spinning. Somehow I think the Met will never be rid of the glitter and sequins that flew across buildings steps on Monday afternoon, and similarly the beautiful and comical happenings of the event will be forever etched in our minds.

One image that both fascinates us and has our minds forever blown, is Ezra Miller’s beauty moment. For the occasion of “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, the American actor and singer stepped onto the blush carpet and immediately attracted attention. His Burberry, pinstripe skirt/suit hybrid and Tiffany&Co brooch and diamond rings were enough to turn heads but it was from his neck up that had us spinning.

With a blank mask in-hand, Miller boasted a face of five hand painted eyes complete with eyebrows, lending a whacky optical illusion that has me dizzy. Finished off with a bold red lip, perfectly styled wig and a white manicure, it was perfectly in keeping with the theme.

When asked about the look, he told Garage“I had a lot of bizarre thoughts in my brain and was trying to explain them to several people who, in many cases, received it with apprehension, even fear. Riccardo was immediately super-exuberant and enthusiastic about the notion. We talked on on the phone and from what I’m told, two minutes into the conversation he was drawing the look.”

The Justice League actor continued, “The celebration of camp is almost funereal…It’s almost like it dies as it walks in the room. But I think it consumes the other as well. You know? I think it’s like fire and oxygen.”

Appearing in films such as Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Justice League the on-screen star in the past is known for his avant garde red carpet looks.
