For Virgil Abloh, we can imagine the seasonal Paris Fashion Week circuit is one of the biggest events of the year. Not only does he reveal his Louis Vuitton Menswear collection – a high-production extravaganza – but his own streetwear brand, Off-White, takes to the runway and for Fall/Winter 2020 it came with an extra surprise for sneaker heads and brand fanatics alike. Following months of rumours, we finally have a closer look at the collaborative effort between Off-White and the iconic Air Jordan 5 silhouette.

Marking the first partnership with Jordan Brand since the June 2018 Air Jordan 1, the latest sneakers were spotted on models and even Abloh. Reminiscent to the Black/Metallic colour of 2011, the sneakers have been updated with uppers constructed with thin synthetic TPE material,  previously used on Abloh’s previous “Ghosting” releases. The silver tongue is similarly thinned out and boasts the Jumpman logo while the remainder of the silhouette is finished off with the number ’23’ and ‘Nike Air’ graphic on the heel. Hallmark touches include “SHOELACES” emblazoned on the fastenings and a black zip tag attached to the tongue.

Currently, there isn’t much more information but it is speculated that the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 will drop in February during the NBA All-Star weekend, with a suggest price of $255 USD.
