Last week, leak account @yankeekicks revealed a first look at what appeared to be Star Wars x adidas Nite Jogger ‘R2-D2’ model. Boasting colour and design references from the character as well as cobranding, the silhouette has seemingly become a forthcoming series of sneakers. Revealed by the same account, we now have a first look at the ‘Stormtrooper’ iteration.
What is rumoured to release to coincide with the cinema launch of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the latest style dons the same colourway as its inspired character. With all the usual style cues of the cult Nite Jogger – three reflective stripes, signature BOOST midsole and mesh upper – the style now boasts black accents on its heel and outlining the perimeter of the midsole. The lace eyelets are dressed in beige suede while bold cobranding and Star Wars motifs such as “Open the blast doors!” and “Set to stun” finish off the adidas sneakers.
Joining the ‘R2-D2’ and ‘Stormtrooper’ designs, it is expected that X-Wing and Millennium Falcon-inspired styles will also be included within the anticipated collection. Stay tuned for a release date.
