This is exactly what Christmas should look like. Lavishly decorated, friends and family in the droves and maybe, just maybe a peaking wardrobe of extravagant Gucci pieces – in a perfect world, anyways. As we near closer to December 25, the streets are now donned in glistening decorations however if you’re in Australia, festivities usually include the seaside with the mercury peaking. Stepping away from the blankets of snow and mulled wine, Gucci has taken a cue from the resort festivities to bring its latest campaign.

Shot by world-renowned photographer and director, Harmony Korine, with creative direction from the one-and-only Alessandro Michele, Gucci celebrates the holiday season with a getaway to sunny shores. Set on a cruise ship, above and below deck, the Italian fashion house takes a welcomed getaway to warmer tides. It’s guests all decked out in a line-up of ready-to-wear pieces, shoes and accessories, while intriguing stories and affairs unfold aboard.

The eclectic array of pieces for the Gift Giving season is characterised by a striking mash-up of two of the House’s most recognisable patterns: the beige/ebony GG Supreme canvas and the historic Flora motif, which here have been combined for the first time. Each piece is crafted in the new GG material printed with the brilliant-coloured flowers and insects of Gucci Flora, and trimmed with red, yellow or white leather and accompanying the Gift Giving campaign is a dedicated interactive microsite. It will allow visitors to play with the Gift Giving line, randomly generating joyful wallpapers and allowing users to land on the gucci.com website with the opportunity to purchase gifts directly.
