Coinciding with the opening of the Gucci boutique in SoHo New York, the Italian fashion house and Dapper Dan have dropped the first collection of collaborative ready-to-wear clothing and accessories.
After announcing the collaboration back in September, the team has created a line of pieces that look back to the Dan archives and reimagines the clothing in luxury Gucci material. The collection includes statement jackets, tracksuits and tailored sets with accents of ’90s classic design elements.
Dapper Dan is a Harlem native and is known for his legendary tailoring and has created customised pieces for some of the biggest sporting and hip-hop stars of our time. Think LL Cool J and Salt-n-Peppa, to Jay Z.
The collaboration will be exclusively available from the SoHo boutique until a larger roll-out for the Autumn/Winter season. Stay tuned; if we find any pieces online we’ll tell you.
