The name of Moncler is built on utility. Designed to take you across the globe and in all conditions, the Italian outdoor brand has met its match this season with the latest collaboration from Palm Angels. Making up the eighth instalment in the groundbreaking inception of Moncler Genius, the house has evolved with the fearlessness of the Milanese streetwear label. Across an extensive offering of punk-infused styles and striking ensembles, the brand duo have ushered in everyday functionality with an energetic twist.
Moncler Genius is a creative hub promoting the energy that comes from a mix of different cultures and with the core of Italian heritage and the ethos of skate culture from Palm Angels, comes the latest collaborative line. Boasting modern reinterpretations of grunge attire, studs and metallic fabric are now having a re-run. Sportswear and oversized silhouettes have stuck around for another cycle of streetwear, but in true Moncler fashion, technical silhouettes are offered up in luxury fabrics and considered style cues.
Working around the clash of rarefied art gallery atmosphere and abrasive urban environment attitude, Ragazzi took inspiration from the candy wrapper metallic shade though with a fresh interpretation. When it comes to donning the attitude in the real world, we suggest mixing it up.
Pair high-shine pieces with basic matte fabrics and to avoid going OTT, opt for a monochromatic colour palette. And when it comes to hardware, choose one studded piece for a modern interpretation of the ’90s counterculture.
