Since its inception in 1952, Moncler has become known for much more than its luxury sportswear. From the ski fields and snow capped mountains, the Italian powerhouse has cemented its position on the streets with a platform of innovative collaborations. Since 2018, Moncler has established ‘The Next Chapter’ in a bid to disrupt the twice yearly format of seasonal runways and this month will see its latest collaboration with Palm Angels.

From the brain child of art director Francesco Ragazzi, Palm Angels was established in 2011 and grew to fruition as a photographic documentation of LA’s skater culture. From a book, the Milan-based label evolved into a clothing line, now associated with punk influences sprawled through modern street culture.

Described as expressive, assertive and striking, Moncler Genius has translated its outdoor silhouettes with the design cues of Palm Angels. And if a picture is worth a thousand words, than this look is a historic novel.

As print continues to evolve with each passing season, a new wave of punk influences is making its way from the ’90s. From the underground subculture largely celebrated in Europe, the bold sensibilities of skate culture have made a proud comeback, and with it is a series of daring looks courtesy of the latest collaboration from Moncler.

Looking to references of counterculture, while head-to-toe print is on the audacious side of styling, the black colour blocking seen across the technical jacket and pants allows for relief when matching your look.
