Sustainability has a new address, and it appears to be with Korean designer Jinah Jung of JUNG. In a new wave of one-of-a-kind accessories, Jung has repurposed Le Coq Sportif samples in several colours and shapes into a range of bumbags, backpacks, carry-alls and even luggage.

“It is not a project with Le Coq Sportif officially,” says Jung. “I asked Le Coq Sportif’s global creative director Fédéric Pertusier if he had any sample shoes, so he gave them to me. Because those shoes were prototype shoes which were not made into a pair (just single shoes), they could not be sold. They are glad to be recycling and I am glad to use them for this specific purpose”

Her latest project will be displayed at Con-shoesness: Military Monster Series, at Plan 8 in Paris from June 20 to June 26. Take a look at the full project on the JUNG Instagram page.
