Lando Norris didn’t just take home victory at the Formula 1® Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025—he took it home in style. The McLaren driver was awarded the coveted trophy inside a custom Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, a piece as iconic as the race itself. This was no ordinary victory moment; it was the first of the season under Louis Vuitton’s prestigious partnership with Formula 1, and the luxury brand was front and centre all weekend. From the signature high-speed track signage that adorned the Melbourne circuit to the beautifully crafted trunk, LV’s presence was unmistakable. The trunk, created by hand at Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières atelier, was an art piece in itself, featuring a green-and-yellow “V” symbolising both Victory and Vuitton, in tribute to the Australian Grand Prix.

The race itself was a whirlwind of chaos, and for a moment, it seemed like we might not even have one. The rain came down hard, leaving us all wondering if the race would be called off entirely. But after a tense wait, the conditions eased up just enough for the race to go ahead – and it delivered everything we wanted and more. The wet track turned into a treacherous battleground, triggering a string of incidents, including a dramatic crash by debutant Isack Hadjar during the formation lap. Local hero Oscar Piastri showed promise early on but found himself spinning off track on lap 44 as the rain intensified, ultimately finishing in ninth. There were also early retirements from Jack Doohan and Carlos Sainz as the weather continued to wreak havoc. Max Verstappen, who had overtaken Piastri early on, was relentless in chasing Norris in the final laps, but Norris held firm to secure a well-deserved victory. The rain may have added a layer of unpredictability, but it only made the action more intense, with every corner throwing a new challenge at the drivers and ensuring this Australian Grand Prix will be remembered for its drama as much as its triumphs.
