From NBA Hall-of-Famer to philanthropist and now a designer? LeBron James is a lot of things, and adding to his extensive repertoire of talents, the famed athlete has officially entered the style sphere in his own right. Following on from a collaboration with suiting-turned-sportswear extraordinaire Thom Browne, James has ushered in his first-ever private label collection from UNKNWN, his Miami boutique.
Aptly titled ‘UNKNWN Collection’, the initial release consists of 14 ready-to-wear pieces and heroes easy staples that can be chopped and changed within the capsule itself. Reinterpreting kit essentials silhouettes such as t-shirts, tailored chinos, hoodies and flannel long-sleeve shirt, the pieces are made with high-quality Italian fabrication for luxury appeal. Adding to its wearability, the styles are all presented in a neutral colour palette and includes blues, blacks and greys. Key pieces include the dark-dyed cotton canvas twill tour jacket, light knitted jacket in custom-milled plaid flannel fabrics and cropped pants with single stitch “unfinished” hems.
