2024 Season Recap: A Battle To the End
Max Verstappen secured his fourth consecutive Drivers’ Championship in 2024, starting the season in dominant form before the competition closed in. As McLaren gained momentum and Lando Norris applied pressure, Verstappen had to dig deep to hold onto his crown, while McLaren’s late-season charge saw them claim their first Constructors’ title in 26 years.

2025 Driver Transfers & Team Changes
This year the grid has undergone a major reshuffle, with big names making even bigger moves, and rookies fighting to make their mark:

Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari – After 12 seasons and six championships with Mercedes, the seven-time World Champion has donned the iconic red of Scuderia Ferrari. He replaces Carlos Sainz Jr., marking one of the biggest moves in F1 history.

Carlos Sainz Jr. to Williams – Sainz has secured a multi-year deal with Williams, giving the once-dominant team a serious performance boost.

Andrea ‘Kimi’ Antonelli to Mercedes – The young Italian steps into Hamilton’s legendary seat at Mercedes, aiming to prove himself among the elite.

Liam Lawson to Red Bull Racing – The New Zealander joins Red Bull, partnering with Max Verstappen in what promises to be a thrilling duo.

Gabriel Bortoleto to Sauber – The reigning Formula 2 Champion graduates to F1, bringing fresh talent and ambition to Sauber.

Oliver Bearman to Haas – The British driver earns a full-time spot after an impressive run as a reserve driver.

F1® x Louis Vuitton: A Partnership in Motion
Louis Vuitton’s involvement with Formula 1 takes centre stage this weekend, where the brand debuts dynamic on-track signage. The reimagined Louis Vuitton logo, designed to evoke motion and speed, will appear across key sections of the Melbourne circuit. This marks the brand’s first appearance as a Global Partner of F1, furthering its longstanding connection to motorsport and reinforcing the tradition that “Victory travels in Louis Vuitton.”

2025 PREDICATIONS: Who’s the Favourite to Win in Melbourne This Weekend?
The season opener at Albert Park is a high-stakes race, and several drivers are tipped for glory:

Lando Norris (McLaren) – 3.35 odds
The Abu Dhabi GP winner ended 2024 on a high, and with McLaren’s pre-season testing looking strong, Norris is the top contender for victory in Melbourne.

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) – 4.31 odds
Leclerc has been a podium machine, racking up 13 last season. With Ferrari’s winter testing pace looking promising, he’s a serious threat to Norris.

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) – 4.41 odds
Red Bull faced technical struggles in pre-season, but Verstappen’s sheer talent keeps him in the mix. If anyone can turn setbacks into success, it’s Max.

Oscar Piastri (McLaren) – 7.20 odds
The home hero has a golden opportunity to become the first Aussie to win the Australian GP. With McLaren firing on all cylinders, could this be Piastri’s moment?

Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) – 9.20 odds
A new chapter for Hamilton begins in Melbourne. Ferrari’s testing times suggest they’re competitive, and if anyone thrives under pressure, it’s Lewis.

The Australian Curse – Can Piastri Make History?
Australia has had some F1 greats, but none have officially won their home race… yet.

Alan Jones (1980) – The only Australian driver to have won a Formula 1 race on home soil. He won the 1980 Australian Grand Prix, but it was a non-championship event, meaning it wasn’t part of the official F1 World Championship at the time.

Mark Webber (2012) – Best finish: P4. Never reached the podium in Melbourne.

Daniel Ricciardo (2014) – Finished P2 but was later disqualified due to fuel flow regulations.

Oscar Piastri (2025?) – Could he be the one to finally bring home the win?

As the lights go out in Melbourne, the real action begins. With fresh faces, fierce rivalries, and the promise of a dramatic race, the 2025 season is set to deliver plenty of twists and turns. So, buckle up — this weekend will be just the beginning of what could be a truly wild ride.
