In February, New York Fashion Week transformed into a Californian rave as Palm Angels made its runway debut for Fall/Winter 2019. Filling the room with strobe lighting and pumping music, designer Francesco Ragazzi released a line of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear pieces, however, with sartorial sophistication.

Staying true to the Palm Angels signature aesthetic – bold embellishments such a chains and zips as well as psychedelic prints and colour – the pieces were seemingly pared back with inspiration drawn from heritage silhouettes. Military-inspired outerwear was on show amongst mens looks and kit essentials in the form of oversize shirts, tailored coats and pants allowed for wearability. But not straying too far away from its streetwear roots, bulky utilitarian was seen almost on every look with vests and cargo-style pants boasting numerous pockets and futuristic sneaker silhouettes lead the trend-based charge.

Now, less than three months since its New York debut and we have a full look at the pieces heading in-store in the coming months. Key pieces from the collection include printed separates such as oversized cuban shirts and cargo pants while outerwear like hoodies, bomber jackets and more refined tailored coats make up the bulk of the clothing. In terms of accessories, the aforementioned futuristic sneakers will be made available while a court rendition is emblazoned with embellishments for three different colourways. Caps and fluro translucent bags round out the the line of accessories.
