Since its establishment in 1906, Montblanc has stood as a quiet architect of excellence — transforming ink into legacy, time into heirloom, and leather goods into objects that age with it’s owners. What began as a reverence for the art of writing has evolved into a house where craftsmanship meets enduring sophistication. The Montblanc emblem has since become a distinct symbol of heritage and uncompromising quality. In 2022, guided by its mission to inspire writing and honour the power of penmanship, MONTBLANC HAUS opened in Hamburg, Germany — inviting visitors to leave their mark on the world through words, educational programmes, and creative initiatives.

On February 23rd, in the hours before dawn, and under the night sky of Dubai, guests gathered for a community-driven and reflective Ramadan Suhoor by Montblanc in partnership with Ennismore at restaurant Ninive in Emirates Towers. Ennismore is a lifestyle-led hospitality group that brings together a collection of 16 founder-built brands and two standalone food and beverage collectives that operate through more than 190 hotels and 145 additional developing properties. Their commitment is to building inclusive communities that are shaped by experience-driven hospitality.

Famously, the evening welcomed Montblanc Brand Ambassadors, including football legend Zinedine Zidane, and Turkish actor Kerem Bürsin. Their presence did not go unnoticed and highlighted Montblanc’s commitment to shaping moments of connection in their multidisciplinary community. Every moment of the event was thoughtfully curated, from a MENA-inspired menu featuring local, North African, Turkish, Moroccan, and Iraqi dishes that emphasized the importance of heritage to the more than a century-old Maison to live performances.

The sophisticated evening was centered around Montblanc’s Tree of Writing – an installation designed by Edinas Paper for the Milan Fashion Week 2025. Branches rose from pages of books that once held stories and letters that delivered as declarations, and envelopes that sealed memories were woven into leaves. The piece was a performance of devotion to the influential power of not only writing but storytelling. Letters in English and Arabic, that captured reflections on travel and connection, allowed the tree to become more than just an aesthetic artistic choice, but what Montblac describes in a recent statement as the “ interconnectedness of the written world.” Beneath its roots sat the Montblanc desk, iconically designed by Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta, appointed in 2021 – a tribute to the brand’s championship in placing pen to paper, and a permanent ink-stain on a pixilated age of screens.

Among those in attendance was Rizwan Kassim, CEO of Paris Society and Global F&B platform of Ennismore, Franck Juhel, Montblanc President Middle East, India, Africa & Türkiye, and Basil Al Hadi, who many know as DJ Karrouhat.

Like Montblanc, Ennismores’ presence is global, spanning more than 40 countries, and is complemented by over 500 bars and restaurants. Continuing its strategy of achieving purpose through creativity, Ennismore joined hands with Accor in 2021 to build the fastest-growing hospitality venture, upheld by three pillars and a vision rooted in culture, community,  and immersive experience. The four in-house creative and innovation studios don’t just cover food and beverage, but design, technology, and strategic partnerships, at the intersection of culture and commerce.
