BAPE – aka A Bathing Ape – is know for its legendary collaborations. Hailing from Japan, the streetwear label has worked with everyone from Adidas to Swarovski and following up on its 2007 collaboration with the entertainment franchise, DC Comics has returned for another anticipated capsule collection.
Announced via the official BAPE instagram, the collab will see comics including Batman and Superman infused into the camouflage branding of the Japanese label. Only said to be “coming soon”, additional details surrounding the partnership are sketchy. Looking back to 2007, the brand joined DC Comics for the first time with the collection comprising of a Batman hoodie and a Superman and The Flash crewneck sweater.
That being 12 years ago, it will be interesting to see what comes of the fresh collaboration, and if it will also include a wider range of DC characters.
