Virgil Abloh cannot be stopped. Even if it means being ordered to rest by his doctor, despite the designer’s absence from the Off-White Spring/Summer 2020 runway during Paris Fashion Week today, the crowds were not deterred and arrived in droves. Among billowing gowns and reimagined sportswear, the streetwear mogul also debuted a new sneaker silhouette.

While the designer usually uses the fashion circuit to reveal new Nike collaborations, the womenswear collection featured a standalone design. First revealed in the lead up to the event this week, the new style is a mid-top iteration and continues to pay homage to the ever-popular chunky sneaker trend. The SS/20 shoe is reminiscent of a basketball style with ankle reinforcement coming from a padded mesh collar. Presented in several colourways including a purple-black and grey-white iteration, it is finished off with the brands design cues, arrows and waves made from leather and suede.

No release date or style name has been revealed however we can expect a roll out around May, 2020. Stay tuned. Check out the recent runway from Paris Fashion Week below.
