Over the weekend Palace x Polo Ralph Lauren posters were plastered all over Tokyo and with no other details mentioned from either brands, it remained an exciting mystery. Now, with speculations flying over the next luxury streetwear partnership, Palace co-founders Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis took to Business of Fashion to spell out the important details.

Known for its bright and avant-garde street style aesthetic – particularly in its latest Winter 2018 drop – Palace have partnered with a slew of brands in the past, but this is expected to be its best team-up yet. Said to be a menswear drop, the collection will include pants, tops, outerwear and accessories, complete with a handful of classic button-downs and polos, synonymous with Ralph Lauren. Expected to fall in line with the regular pricing of Palace Skateboards, the luxury collaboration will be the perfect fusion of the two worlds, including co-branding from each label.

“That tells you everything you need to know right there,” Palace founder Lev Tanju told BOF, referring to the three navy and white billboards that appeared in Tokyo’s Shibuya district last week. “It’s the only brand that you can wear to a board meeting, a funeral and go to the football in — and all in the same day,” Skewis added. “We don’t want to rest on our laurels and do boring stuff; we want to keep it fun and exciting.”

While no word has been mentioned over the exact date of the collaborative launch, the duo has said it is due to drop “imminently”, so keep close over the coming weeks for more details.
