It was just last week when Prada and adidas announced a joint collaboration, fusing the famed “Made in Italy” stamp with the trefoil branding of the German sportswear conglomerate. Sparking interest from self-confessed sneaker heads and style enthusiasts alike, the collaborative products have now been unveiled. In a bid to explore the heritage, technology and innovation of both global brands, the joint effort is ushering in the classic superstar sneaker and nostalgic revisit of the bowling bag.

To the collectors who prefer obnoxious branding, bright colours and chunky soles, unfortunately, this is not the collaboration for you. Instead, it is a pared back interpretation of beloved ’90s styles, albeit with a sporty twist. To honour the engrained DNA of both brands, the pieces see simple co-branding found on the tongue, midsole, innersole and heel of the superstars, aptly finished off with “Made In Italy” and unique edition numbers blind embossed onto the shoe. The bag, embodies the same features of the original style with the adidas symbol found below the Prada logo.

From the track and field, to street style subcultures and surfaced into the realm of luxury design, the Prada x adidas collaboration for both men and women will be limited to just 700 pieces according to reports. To cop the collaboration, it will be made available from December 4 from adidas and Prada.

Stay tuned for any further developments.
