Puma x Roland

Its not always that you see a music manufacturer team up for a sneaker collaboration, but the guys at Puma have joined forces with Japan’s Roland for two new imaginative sneakers. Inspired by the retro 808 drum system, the RS-0 and RS-100 sneakers will see a drop, minus the drum kit.

Considered a story of reinvention” that is “inspired by the past, shaped by the colourful histories of both brands and reimagined for the future,” Pumas latest collaboration will be sure to bring in sneaker-heads and gear-heads alike. Essentially an updated colour way of the RS (Running System) silhouette, the RS-0 is relaunched in an all-black model, accented by colours, in line with the iconic drum machine’s trigger buttons, branded with “Rhythm Composer TR-808, Computer Composer” on the heel. The next model, the RS-100, incorporates the retro colours found on the TR-808 drum machine in a colour-block pattern and suede upper.

Both designs will be available on August 8, coinciding with the internationally recognised #808DAY.
