Come one, come all. This may be the biggest resale event of 2019. Remember when Lil Yachty sold his entire Supreme collection on Grailed? Well this is set to be event better, as New York rapper Pusha T purges his wardrobe of Chanel, BAPE and more high-end threads to the humble people of the internet.
From today, Grailed has announced “Pusha’s Purge”, a rare opportunity to cop threads worn on the back of one of hip-hop’s most celebrated rappers. Hand-picked by the mass style icon, the offerings include rare and hard-to-find pieces across the likes of hyped brands including Gucci, Balenciaga, BAPE and even Chanel.
Along with coveted sneakers, avant-garde outerwear and the occasional kit essential, Grailed sat down with the artist for a glimpse into his musical career and his style inspiration.
“Hip-hop. It’s the music. The music and the gatekeepers who mesh fashion and music together. I feel like, on the younger tier, Rocky has a heavy influence on trends. There’s always Pharrell and always Kanye too; those guys are fashion gatekeepers — young and old.”
“Even different regions around the world spread their influence. You look at everybody now with the cross-body satchels on. I’m in Japan all the time, and they’ve been rocking that forever! I can just see where things get taken from, even on Instagram.”
With his collection of preowned threads already live, get in quick to for a chance at some last minute goods. If you missed out this time, mark your calendars for February 15, 4 am AEDT as Grailed will host a second purge. In the meantime, check out the collection here.
