South Korean actor and model Song Jae Rim has passed away at the age of 39, according to Seoul Seongdong Police. He was found in his Seoul residence, and while authorities have yet to determine an official cause, they’ve confirmed there were no signs of foul play. A two-page letter believed to be a suicide note was reportedly discovered at the scene.

Song’s online presence had been minimal in recent months; his last Instagram post was 41 weeks ago, and he stopped using X (formerly Twitter) in March. Recently, he updated his Instagram profile with a message reading, “A long journey begins,” which now resonates with fans as a farewell.

Born in 1985, Song Jae-rim entered the entertainment industry with his debut in the 2009 film Actresses. His breakout role came in the 2012 drama The Moon Embracing the Sun, quickly leading to more significant roles in series like Two Weeks, Unkind Ladies, and, more recently, Queen Woo.

A funeral service for Song is set for November 14 at noon, where family, friends, and fans will gather to pay their respects.
