For another year, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia has started to wind down for another year. Attracting an innumerable slew of journalists, stylists, buyers and influencers to Carriageworks and the great inner-city area of Sydney, for one week during the year the streets are teeming with well-dressed individuals.

Across six days – which includes the anticipated Weekend Edition for the public – runways, workshops and activations provide endless style inspiration so to cap things off, we asked Stylist and Fashion Office Manager, Patrick Zaczkiewicz FOR what he wore to MBFWA.

LOOK ONE

Kicking off day one was the opening AJE runway. Pictured with Sarah Elle, Patrick looked to contrast a powder yellow jumper from Jac+ Jak with a blue-toned Emporio Armani suit. Finishing off the look he opted for a fluoro Louis Vuitton bag, JW Anderson socks tying back into the rest of the yellow pieces and finally, fresh Nike kicks.

look TWO

Next up was ’90s-inspired street wear. Dad-style, faded wash jeans were put over classic Nike Air Force sneakers, with a big Zara jackets and a bonds tee.

LOOK THREE

Standing outside Hansen and Gretel, look three visited the ’50s era for a nod to preppy style. Matching the pinstripe in the Levi pants to pinstripe in the Spring Court Sneaker, the look was dressed down with a slightly oversized Jac+ Jak knit, layered over an Incu t-shirt. Thrusting it into 2019, the look was finished off with a Balenciaga branded cap – playing on logomania – as well as a fluoro Louis Vuitton crossbody.

look four

Later in the day, a quick change allowed for ultimate comfort. Donning Best Jumpers top and pants, comfort was also cool with the slim fit and contrast stitching of the bottoms adding a more formal approach. A touch of luxury was incorporated with Ermenegildo Zegna sneakers and a Louis Vuitton crossbody.

LOOK FIVE

As the week began to wind down, it was time to party. Mixing textures, Patrick paired a tweed Emporio Armani long-line blazer with basketball-style short and offset the grey with a printed Double Rainbouu t-shirt.
