Its hard to deny that when the likes of Nike and Supreme come together, an overwhelming hype amongst sneaker heads is bound to form. After 12 months of speculations and leaks over the Supreme x Nike Air Tailwind IV collaboration, we now have confirmation that the silhouette is dropping this week. Featuring two colour ways and a special edition running hat, we suggest camping out this week for a chance to cop a pair.
Applying Supreme’s streetwear flair to the Nike Air Tailwind, the sneakers have seen a ’90s treatment combining bouclé, suede and iridescent piping. Available in two colourways – black and blue as well as white and red – both feature metallic piping, leather accents and knitted panels. In keeping with the chunky trend that grew to fruition in 2018, the sole includes translucent bubbles giving the sneakers a ’90s feel. Co-branding can be seen on the tongue of the shoe as well as on the insole.
Additionally, the capsule includes a Supreme x Nike Running Hat, boasting lightweight Dri-FIT fabric technology in the sneakers respective colourways.
Like past collaborations with Supreme, the collaborative capsule will exclusively release into Supreme stores across New York, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, London and Paris as well as online from March 21, with Japan seeing a slightly later release on March 23. This is sure to be a sell-out collab.
