Everything

Following the debut of his latest look book, namesake label Tobias Birk Nielsen took to Copenhagen Fashion Week to present his Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Coined “The Survivalist”, the runway saw an eery yet fascinating showing of functional looks, set behind an open warehouse.
A clear nod to functionality and outdoor wear, the new collection sees essential outerwear including bombers, hoodies and parkers reworked with added with added zips, straps and extended hoods. Relaxed with a worn-in appearance, layering and hand dye is a recurring motif within the collection adding to the moody aesthetic of the brand.
Other than its relaxed clothing, accessories are highlighted within the line. Safari hats, funnel-neck coats and zippered hoods ensured total head coverage, while face masks, aprons, shoulder bags and multi-pocketed vests provide a utilitarian approach and adventurous feel.
As with the setting, the collection remains dark and muted with tones of black, grey and beige. The collection is set to drop early next year. In the meantime, check out the runway show below.
