On the eve of Milan Fashion Week, the Italian city lit up in a spectacle as Tommy Hilfiger touched down overnight. After taking to New York Fashion Week with Zendaya last week, the American designer is continuing his collaborative collections with Lewis Hamilton. The Formula One star is a regular contributor to the brand, but could this be their best collection yet?

Presenting Fall 2019, the duo were joined by more than 500 guests that included A-list VIPs at the Società del Giardino and were welcomed by a fluorescent light installation; a striking contrast against the building historic architecture. Across several rooms, guests were immersed in a series of installations, of which included the Fall 2019 TommyXLewis campaign footage. Debuting the collection on the live stage, the collaborative line combines the all-American style cues Tommy Hilfiger has become known for with Hamilton’s relaxed, edgy street vibes.

Fall 2019 focussed predominately on heavy outerwear – denim jackets, oversized hoodies and old-school flannel – presented in Hilfiger’s signature blue, white and red colour palette. Establishing a clash between sartorial classics and outdoor functionality, silhouettes allowed for androgynous dressing while pieces were reimagined in sustainable fabrications. Emblazoned in cobranding, the looks displayed expert layering while each models was clutched large duffle bags and hands-free, cross-body bags. Footwear comprised of workwear-inspired boots and classic sneaker silhouettes, making the TommyxLewis collection suitable for all terrain.

Ending the night in style, Grammy and BET-nominated American rapper, songwriter and record executive Pusha T gave an exclusive performance. His stellar appearance comes after his 2018 album Daytonna album debuted at number one on the Billboard Rap charts.

Pieces from the collection are now available via the website. See the looks below.
