Sitting within a garden in China is the new Twin Tea House, designed by Hill Architecture. Surrounded by a tranquil and lush garden, modern architecture and Asian design meet for a calming space.

Based on the Sleeping Cloud Pavilion in the retreat garden of Tongli Town in Wu Jiang, the concrete space contains two layers. The bottom floor houses a studio and bathroom while the top floor, accessible by a winding walkway with a bamboo handrail, features the famous tea room. The exterior facade is left partly exposed with warm wooden accents to create an open and zen sanctuary. Overlooking the greenery and and neighbouring pond below, the space offers unwavering natural light.

Inside, the walls are left raw with the addition of treated wood, including modern and traditional furnishing and decor.
