What does an air racer and a suiting brand have in common? Normally, not a lot but as the best thing to happen to suiting in 2019 (other than Timothee Chalamet’s custom suit at the Venice film Festival), sartorial style is getting the comfort treatment thanks to Van Heusen and at the forefront is Red Bull Air Racer Matt Hall.

Since the beginning of the Van Heusen brand in 1881, Pennsylvania, the American tailoring giant’s ethos has remained – providing comfortable sartorial style and ethically sourced goods. From its soft-collar shirt in the early 1900’s – a game changing invention at the time – the brand has unveiled its latest technology. Importing its relaxed sensibilities to Australia, Matt Hall has faced the Van Heusen campaign unveiling new FLEX technology for the new ‘Commuter’ range.

The Van Heusen Commuter collection which contains over 25 pieces is designed in Australia and lends stretch, breathable Coolmax technology and most importantly crush resistance. And what better way to test the tech, than an unlikely way to commute. Within the campaign, Hall takes things to the extreme and flies at g-force all whilst doing flips and tricks in Van Heusen. Check it out below.

The collection is now available at Myer, Van Heusen stores and online here.
