The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, better known as NASA has been an icon in space exploration and science, and after opening for business on October 1, 1958, the space agency is celebrating 60 years in the field. Following the milestone, skate giant Vans released a capsule collection paying homage to the company.

Coined “The Vans Space Voyager Collection”, the line draws inspiration from the original space suits, showcasing a range of unique details. From exposed foam to interchangeable patch insignia, the out-of-this-world designs are seen on classic silhouettes from Vans including the Sk8-Hi and Old Skool as well as a range of apparel and accessories.

A large offering, the collection includes eight footwear iterations for adults and youth across the Sk8-Hi MTE, Old Skool and Classic Slip-On models. Full-grain leather uppers, exposed foam and NASA branding can be found on the Sk8-Hi 46 MTE DX, while the Old Skool style introduce a bold orange colourway, alongside a clean all-white version. Additionally, the capsule also boasts three jackets – a Space Anorak in black or orange and a Torrey Padded MTE jacket – along with a branded pullover hoodie and long-sleeve white t-shirt. Carry-alls and backpacks are also on show for hands-free utility from here to the moon.

The Vans Space Voyager capsule collection will be available on November 2, 2018 from selected Vans Concept stores, Vans.com.au and HYPE DC, The Trybe, Up There Store, Laced and selected Vans stockists. Check out a closer look at the collection above.
