Vans x Vincent Van Gogh Museum

In celebration of one of the worlds most iconic post-impressionist painters, Vans has teamed up with the Vincent Van Gogh Museum, to continue on his legacy in the form of streetwear silhouettes. Taking inspiration from four of Van Gogh’s most famous bodies of works, sections of each artwork have been emblazoned on t-shirts, sweats, jackets, shoes and caps.

Skull, Almond Blossom, Sunflower’s, and Van Gogh’s self-portrait have been brought to life on Vans classic pieces, making for perfectly niche streetwear. Additionally, his drawing entitled Old Vineyard with Peasant Woman makes an appearance across the Old Skool as well as a reinterpretation of the Classic Slip-On, featuring excerpts of handwritten letters from Vincent to his brother, Theo.

Further celebrating the work of the painter, each footwear collection is finished with custom footbed art and co-branding from Vans and the Vincent Van Gogh Museum. If that wasn’t enough, each piece comes with a hashtag that follows through to historical facts behind each piece of Vincent Van Gogh’s art.

The collaboration capsule will be available for purchase at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and online, as well as select Vans retailers starting August 3. A portion of the profits from the collection will go towards the preservation of the original artwork.
