In April of last year, Versace joined the sneaker movement with a cult collaboration with 2 Chainz. Featuring an oversized sole and unique colourways, the capsule proved to be a sell-out success and now, the duo are back for round 2. Hot off the back of Milan Fashion Week Men’s, the Italian fashion house has debuted a first look at its next collaborative kicks.
A high-top iteration of the first collab, the next model is aptly coined “2 Chain Reaction” with the silhouette based off the chain sole, referencing the classic iconography of Versace. More minimal in its approach the second time round, the design is presented in a tonal grey colourway while its star quality comes from intricate detail.
Forming a collar around the ankle, neoprene is embossed with crocodile print and is finished off with a heavy-duty zipper. Meanwhile, the mesh upper and white midsole is dressed in a Braille-style lace cage, touches of suede and rounded out with cord laces.
According to reports, the 2 Chain Reaction sneaker will drop online and in a special pop-up at the Wish Gallery, Atlanta from February 1.
