It was just three months ago when eponymous label Vivienne Westwood teamed up with sneaker giant ASICS. Following a bold capsule that played with archival prints, the design duo are back for round two. Revealed this week, the collaborative capsule revisits its design roots with heritage silhouettes.

Far more understated than its first line, the A GEL-Saga, Hyper GEL-Lyte and GEL-DS Trainer OG have been combined with Westwood’s meticulous design sensibilities. The first pair of kicks boast an all-white upper, classic branding with the special factor coming from François Boucher paintings  ound in the insole and outersole.

The GEL-DS Trainer OG sports bold colour blocking and a psychedelic-style sole while the hero item, the Hyper GEL-Lite is directly inspired by Westwood’s Fall/Winter 1990 collection. Each shoe includes thematic insoles with imagery of Boucher’s Daphnis and Chloe.

To cop the styles, the collection will hit ASICS Japan as well as domestic brick and mortar stores from August 17. For a release closer to home, stay tuned. In the meantime, take a closer look at the collaborative kicks below.
