Bottega Veneta’s latest campaign, What Are Dreams, isn’t your usual brand film – it’s a surrealist journey through the subconscious, starring Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi and directed by legendary photographer Duane Michals. Shot in black and white at Michals’ New York home, the project feels like a cross between an art-house short and a fever dream – a poetic collision of mirrors, movement, and mystery.

Elordi, who’s made as many headlines for his enviable bag collection as for his acting roles, slips seamlessly into Michals’ dream world of billowing curtains, floating feathers, and uncanny reflections. The short film sees him reading from Michals’ 2001 poem What Are Dreams, blurring the line between art and emotion, fantasy and form. It’s a campaign that proves Bottega Veneta isn’t just selling luxury – it’s curating culture. With Michals returning to shoot for the brand nearly four decades after his 1985 campaign, and Elordi bringing the energy of a new generation, What Are Dreams becomes more than a visual – it’s a dialogue between eras, where art, memory, and timeless style converge.
