The weird and spectacularly wonderful street style at Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo
The Japanese capital is known for its quirky styling. And boy, did they deliver.
As fashion week makes its way around the globe, the past six days has seen Japanese style hub Tokyo, light up with a flurry of influencers and fashion media. In recent years, the bustling city has become an epicentre for niche style and for the occasion of fashion week, its street style brings an undeniable flair.
Placed within the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo, taste-makers were spotted in cult goods and outlandish silhouettes in a supposed bid to out dress the other. With the weather still on the cooler side, attendees were draped in oversized outerwear and copious layers of fabric which added to OTT execution of looks. The mix of trends were endless and from pops of colour to a tonal approach and print clashes, no two looks were the same.
As Australia is plunged into a wet and dreary autumn/winter period, the event is providing plenty of inspiration for the months ahead. Scroll below for our favourite looks of the week.
