After just eight months, Ben Affleck has once again been admitted to rehab after an intervention was staged by ex-wife Jen Garner. According to a report by TMZ, Jennifer went to Ben’s Pacific Palisades home on Wednesday afternoon before begging him to seek help.
Not long after, at around 6pm PT, the pair were seen leaving, on their way to a clinic in LA County. Insider sources had said that Affleck agreed and was more than willing to leave, after struggling with alcohol abuse since he left rehab at the beginning of 2018.
Affleck is now seeking treatment at the Canyon at Peace Park on Wednesday night. The secluded clinic is dedicated to, and plans, a specific recovery program for individuals dealing with alcohol and drug-related issues and mental illness.
Last week, Ben showed signs of excessive drinking, when taking his date Playboy Playmate Shauna Sexton to Nobu in Malibu last week. Earlier in the week, Affleck was also seen accepting a mysterious order of alcohol. Is that what unravelled him?
He has struggled with alcoholism, visiting rehab back in 2001. Garner filed for divorce in April 2017, two years after they had split. It is said that the couple are still close, while caring for their 3 children.
