Fans of Bow Wow are patiently waiting on a new studio album after a long and successful career of two decades. Whilst plans of new music and touring have been halted due to the current health crisis, the lauded rapper is taking time to connect with his fans. In a Twitter Q+A overnight, we got more than we banked for after Bow Wow seemingly announced plans to retire soon.

When one fan asked, “Bro, you still considering retiring after the next album you drop?”, he responded with “Fuck Yes!”. The 33-year-old whose real name is Shad Moss, said he wanted to focus on building his 9-year-old daughter Shai Moss’ career instead.

“I have to get Shai ready she wants to follow in my footsteps so I have to shift my hustle. She next up! We are going to own tv and film. Daddy daughter duo like no other!”

The response has been taken down from the Twitter sphere and whilst his next album is still in the works, we can’t see him retiring too soon in the near future. Bow Wow has teased a face-off album with Omarion which would make it a massive comeback of 11 years. “Me and O have been recording… might drop it soon not sure,” he tweeted.

We can breathe knowing new music will drop before he does depart the music scene, and we cannot wait for what comes of his daughter.
