Yesterday was a good day for Chance the Rapper followers. Following his recent proposal to girlfriend Kirsten Corley on July 4, the artist has dropped not one, but FOUR new surprise tracks, his first solo music since 2016.

First up is his catchy, “I Might Need Security”, produced with Jaimie Foxx singing in the background, followed by “Work Out”, motivational and quite literally makes us want to start dancing in our seats, with vocals sung by collaborator Francis and the Lights. In time for the end of Summer, CTR then drops “Wala Cam”, a playful summer time track, created with rapper brethren Supa Bwe, followed by “65th & Ingleside”, which speaks of his rise from Chicago to touring with Childish Gambino in 2012.

If you listen closely to his “I Might Need Security”, he mentions his recent purchase of local Chicago news and culture site Chicagoist, which was shut down last year along with sister sites including Gothamist and DNAinfo.

I bought the Chicagoist just to run you racist (expletives) outta business,” he raps on the song, sharing an official statement about the acquisition with USA TODAY.

“I’m extremely excited to be continuing the work of the Chicagoist, an integral local platform for Chicago news, events and entertainment,” he says in the statement. “I look forward to re-launching it and bringing the people of Chicago an independent media outlet focused on amplifying diverse voices and content.”
