There are droughts, bushfires and flooding. The world is in a societal disarray and the world’s most powerful leader (allegedly), President Donald Trump is on a late-night Twitter rampage with one of pop cultures most popular couples. Trump is known for his often outrageous tweets that includes firing high-profile officials via the platform as well as humiliating close friends and allies, but the ridiculed politician made a grave mistake when he went after John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.

Trump was responding to a cable news editorial regarding his First Step Act criminal justice bill on Sunday night, in the wake of an MSNBC town hall that featured an appearance from musician John Legend. Naturally and with a sore ego, Trump went on rampage implicating the songwriter.

“When all of the people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform were unable to come even close to getting it done, they came to me as a group and asked for my help. I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it,” wrote Trump on Twitter. “I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did, & Republicans deserve much credit.” Trump continued the tread with, “…musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is – but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed.”

Mr. President, that was a mistake, a big mistake. Chrissy Teigen was quick to respond calling Trump a “pussy ass bitch”.

John Legend adding with a more diplomatic response called on Trump’s wife Melania saying, “He needs you,” before continuing on in a separate thread, “Your country needs you, Melania.”

The hashtag #PresidentPussyAssBitch was trending on Twitter but was too profane to include in its trending list. But according to The Independent, “tracking data by social media firm Keyhole showed the hashtag was seen by far more US users than the hashtag in top place.”

How’s that for anti-propaganda?
